Hi

I have just purchased one of the following -

OcUK Value R-ADSL-C4W-G 108Mbps Wireless ADSL2 Modem/Router/Switch/Firewall (NW-000-OK)

And am having problems getting internet access through it. The router can ping out to the internet ok and says the DSL is connected so I know that side of it appears to be ok. However I just cannot get any machines to access the internet through it. I can't ping any IP's or web address, just get timed out responses. I have disabled the firewall and / or nat on the router with the same outcome. The laptop picks up a DHCP address from the router ok and the same laptop works fine with a different router on the same line. I was wondering if anybody knew if these routers come with any features which I need to disable to allow internet access through it ?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Ok thanks I'll give that a try. I will add that the laptop currently connects to the internet through a USB modem to the same broadband connection. So I'm going from a USB modem to an ethernet router. I have disabled the ' connect with ' option in the browser ( IE ) and set it not to dial a connection and the router is set to dial on demand.

I can post IPconfig /all later but basically it shows the laptop getting it's DHCP, DNS and default Gateway from 192.168.1.1 which is the router. The USB modem was disconnected fully as well. I'm going to try the router on a different ADSL line today hopefully and see what happens.
