Hey all. I have a wierd problem. Access says local and internet with the two screens flashing and the globe in front of it, but when I click for the internet it says cannot display webpage. very confused does anyone have an idea please?

Can you ping out to the internet? try pinging bbc.co.uk, does it resolve and reply?

Usually the globe infront of the two computers indicates a WAN connection, two computers with no globe is local only.

If you can ping bbc.co.uk, start looking at the web browser itself, you sure its not running in offline mode?

Without more details I can only guess at three possible causes would be either your that DNS servers are unavailable, your system is expecting to be making use of a proxy server or there is something such as malware trying to redirect or modify your outbound data.

DJMK's suggestion would tell you if there is a problem with your DNS servers. What browser are you using?

assuming you're connected through a router, log into the web interface and see if you can get any more info. it might even be worth just turning it off and back on again.
