Hi,
would appreciate help with the problem as per the title. How do I even troubleshoot that? :confused:Previously, everything was working fine. Turned off PC, replaced GPU, turned it back on again - no connection.

Tried plugging in the very same network cable to another PC and it works fine, I am connected so it's not the cable.

Was wondering if Windows did an update (this is a Windows 10 machine) that caused it so did system restore - did not help.

Installed LAN drivers for my mobo again - nothing.

The led comes on when I plug in the cable. Otherwise, all components connected to the port from inside the case are under a heatsink and plastic cover so couldn't be damaged.

You’ve proved the cable is OK, router re-set and CMOS reset would be my next steps, but before you reset the CMOS is your board one of those with an inbuilt network diagnostic? If so have a look in that.
Thank you all for input. My next steps will be to reset CMOS. If that does not help, I will try Windows re-install as a last resort, can't really see what else I can do.
Is your network device disabled?

Settings/Network and internet/Change adapter settings/Click on your network device and select Enable.
It was listed initially as disabled and would not let me enable it, now it is not listed at all.
