No internet at work, or is there!?

Weird internet issue at work today, about 60 people in our office and none of us have proper internet access. The good news is that it seems this place is one of the sites that are working! I can get on bing.com, BBC Sport but not News or google.co.uk.

What is this sorcery? And how do I become work hero by fixing it so everyone can get on their facebook, I mean emails?
 
I am still convinced they have the means and capabilities to resolve such an issue when compared to Joe Bloggs end user... :)
 
Without getting their butts over here I'm not so sure. One of our servers has a message on it 'FATAL ERROR'. I'm no hardware or networking expert but I have a feeling that it might be linked. :D

Our global IT is managed by IBM, but we are submanaged by ipsoft (I think). Spoke to them on the phone and we didn't exist on their database. :D
 
Have the office bods not even thought about using their own phones internet, i do wonder how people manage to get up in the morning sometimes.

As for the server, even a guy who came on site doesn't know what's wrong with it.

Have you tried your ISP?
