okay just wondering if you guys could help me, i bought this wireless adapter, atm i have my pc wired via a 250m cat5 cable trailing about the house :mad:

the adapter connects, (kind of) i cant see anything on the network and i cant access internet. adapter = 300mb EDUP pci-e

access point is running wpa2 64bit hex key + mac address filtering (all has been filled out before connecting)

it starts at 300mb's and quickly dies to 1mb's and nothing happens. any help would be awesome

my bad on the SSID, it was back when people randomly started to connect to me,

i have tried it without any kind of security on my router also, and it times out / fails to connect. eventualy it will connect providing the same results as above

It seems that the router isn't giving you an IP address...

Make sure DHCP is enabled on your router, if so and still can't connect... Try setting a static IP address on your PC.

DHCP is enabled, unsure how to add a static IP address?

router is a belkin F5D8233-4-v1(01A) never had problems with anything else conencting wireless just this card

Properties > TCP/IPv4 > Use following IP address;

IP Address = An IP address between the range the router has set - eg; 192.168.1.101
Subnet = Same as the routers
Gateway = Routers IP address, eg; 192.168.1.1

just taken apart the adapter.. its actualy a mini pci like laptops have, and its inside an adapter.. taken the wifi card out and all of the outside is coverd in rust. but the adapter looks brand new...

i did get it from ebay from taiwan or something. ive sent them an email about it, hoping for a refund,

i have since tried my laptops wireless card and it works flawlessly, so it mustav been a duff card, any help on what kinda mini pci card to get? its the tall kind , (only one set of screw holes)

If you have no luck with the driver, maybe you should get something thats not from eBay HK.

Tends to be lots of Intel fakes from over there.
