No Internet on desktop,, wifi is ok though.

My desktop has now got no network connection, I have tried several reboots of pc and router, changed cables but no difference

My pc is on windows 7 wired connection

ISP is aol now talk talk I believe

My modem is a huawei echo life hg532

Anti virus is avg

Firewall is windows

I'm hoping someone can assist with getting me back on the net as I use the pc for working from home..

might be workth trying ipconfig /release then ipconfig /renew

Have you got more then one ethernet port on your router? If so I'm guessing you've tried in a new port?

Yep, I've tried other ports of router,, all work fine, other devices also work of the same one the desk top is now hooked up to.

According to the ipconfig information from the original post the PC hasn't got a active network adapter.

Reinstall your ethernet drivers. Will be on your Mobo disc?

Been into internet settings and made sure its on automatically detect.

Internet settings > connections> lan settings.

Can't see this,,, is this for windows 7?

Is the mobo disc the same as a system repair disc?

Your motherboard disc is different to your system repair disc,

One thing I would try is downloading winsock fix and running that on your pc.

I would check if your network adaptor is disabled.

Go to Control Panel > Network and Sharing Centre > Change Adaptor Settings.

Is the Local Area Connection disabled? If so then right click and enable it.
