Hey guys and gals, hopefully someone can help me before i tear my hair out.
I have a new PC, "Titan Valkyrie" Intel Core 2 Duo E5200 2.50GHz @ 3.20GHz+ DDR2 System. To be exact, the link to it is here - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-170-OK .
Now, it's been great, no issues at all until today. i come in from work, plonk my ass in the chair and boot her up. Can't connect to the internet...
Huh?
So i tried the usual, resetting modem, checking cables etc etc. All just fine.
I took the ethernet cable out, attached it to my laptop and started that up (ensuring the wireless was off) and no problems, well thats how i'm writing this
Anyway, went back to the PC, diagnose and repair...
"Windows tried a repair but a problem still exists. A cable is not plugged into the network adapter "Local Area Connection".
Well i bed to differ, i know for a fact it is and it's also ok, so the fault lies in the system somewhere. Has anyone encounted this and know a fix?
I stuck the MoBo CD in and tried to download the drivers for the network adapter, apparently they are installed just fine.
Please help
