Hi all,

As title, I have no need for any flashing lights or side windows etc so would rather the money put towards a quality made case. What cases are generally thought to be the best made and quietest?

Thanks :)

Like you I wasn't after anything too flashy.

Another +1 for the Antec 300. I've just bought one to replace a generic case and it's a solid performer. Easy access and keeps my PC nice and cool with a 140mm Tricool fan exhaust on the roof and a 120mm fan on the rear. Both these have speed adjusters which I leave on low. With a quiet PSU/CPU fan the system is very quiet.

Nice grill on the front as well which isn't too flashy and it allows you to add a side 120mm and front 2 x 120mm fan intakes if you so wish.

Got to say it's extremely quiet and a good build for the price.

If I'm not breaking any OC laws take a look at this youtube review for more.

Depends what you want to spend though and take your pick as there are a lot of nice cases out there.

Thanks very much for replies guys, most appreciated. The antec 300 is a nice case and I was surprised at how cheap it was. Am I right in saying the antec 1200 is a lot bigger? The 1200, although nice, is a bit too flashy for me but im trying to get the sizes right in my head. I think I would prefer a full size case really, the antec is a midi right?

Solid? I can stand on top of my Lian Li V2000 without so much as a creak or a flex of the structure.
Quality? Lian Li/Silverstone have some lovely all aluminium cases.

One of the new Lian Li models would do nicely.
