Hey

So, looks like the locking wheel nut tool is missing from the car.
I know it was in there when i bought the car, but i never saw it since it was in to have an alloy painted and a tyre changed. so i think the dealer has it.

I have asked, but they have no record of it. and have no idea where its gone.

How do I take these off the car? i want to fit my new alloys!

Why are you ignoring the advice to just go to the dealer and ask them to remove them, as your OEM part has let you down? Mercedes didnt even charge me as far as i recall. You dont need to hammer sockets over them, or get people to bodge remove them - Mazda will have the actual key.
I'm not.

The Dealer is in Coventry - 20 mins away.
The Garage that will remove them (asked today) is 30 seconds from work, can have the job done over my lunch break.
They will also fit new tyres to new alloys, balance and fit to car.

No point in locking wheel bolts anyway, pointless things.

The Dealer who sold me the car just called to inform me that the Key is in the boot... I dont recall seeing it so im going out at lunch to pull the boot apart to see if i can find it.

OK Update.

Some prat has done them up stupid tight.
Garage couldnt remove them.

SO, what i have done is contact mazda for a new tool, and put it on order.
Also Green flag are on their way to remove them if they can anyway at £8 per bolt.... And i want them done today ideally so its cool.

called a local (like 2 mins away) garage, they are confident they can remove it within an hour. so its going to see them tomorrow morning :)

I took my Citroen to the dealer and he had all 4 off in 30 minutes and charged me £30, Try them to see if they will do it?

The guy who too took them off said he used a dremel or something to cut a slot in the bolt head and then used what I gather is an impact wrench with a chisel tipped bit in it.

I also tried the whacking a socket on till it took the head off and then welding a nut on which all proved useless :D

Dealer wants £89 to remove them. Told them to jog on.

Seems they bashed my wheels to death getting the nuts off. My tracking seems totally out now.

bah, £45 at kwik fit will sort that -.-

Kwik fits hunter system said my alignment is spot on. Just my steering wheel is slightly off center.

it was free to check but £45 to correct steering wheel... yea no thanks. Will live with it slightly off.

Only place local that had new nuts was a small motor factors. I bought a cheap £20 set of nuts that are actually security ones but would be super easy to remove if required.
