I'm not sure when this happened, or what has caused it, but I can't play FPS'ers anymore. After 5 mins they make me want to vom :(

I used to be able to play UT2004 for hours, but these days I can't stand it.

It seemed to start with HL2, I never got to finish it and the boat levels just finished me off. I tried playing F.E.A.R and COD2, but it's the same story with both. Even PDX on the X360 does it.

The strange thing, isthat I can play World of Warcraft for hours on end and I'm fine. I can play anything other than a FPS and I'm fine (although driving games can cause problems sometimes).

My work mates have just started to play Counter-Strike: Source every night and I've tried to join in for the fun, but both nights I've had to bomb out after 15 minutes feeling rough.

Anyone else have problems with this?
Someone also recommended eating Ginger while playing or taking a travel sickness pill before playing (over the counter stuff, non medical please).

i used to get this when playing the old hl in open gl, but now im all good playing cs 1.6 for hours! have you tried changing the res down to like 800x600 so you are getting a nice high framerate? this could help it seemed to help me in the past as i could last longer playing! dont know why though!

Framerate isn't a problem unfortunatly. I'm on a AMD64 3700+ with a 7800GTX...it doesn't go under 100fps. I've tried with and without V-Sync on this TFT, but it makes little difference.

Mouse sensitivity didn't help mush either. If it's really low I'm OK, but then you can't aim.

Go get your eyes tested. :)

I already wear glasses, but maybe they need boosting :|

There was a big uproar about this one. Something to do with the FOV in CSS and HL2 causes those prone to travel-sickness to.. well.. get travel sick.

Take a look at that. There's a FOV change command for the source engine, I think, so when you're in, try changing it to something different.

That works great for HL2 but you can't use it in CS:S (which already uses 90 as the default FOV) :(

I wonder if it's my sinuses as I sometimes feel a bit motion sick in the car WHILE DRIVING! I've never heard of the driver getting motion sickness! :p

Anyway...thanks for the suggestions, keep them coming.
