No Macromedia Flash Player?

I'm having problems at the minute with certain sites requiring Flash Player, according to:

http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash

I have version 8,0,24,0 installed, however sites such as Myheritage.com and Youtube.com keep telling me that I don't have flash player or that Javascrpit is disabled? I then get directed to the above link which seems to allow a download or at least a check (in under a second) and informs me that download was sucessful?

Any suggestions?

Go and download the standalone installer see if that helps you.

My cousin's machine is complaining about ActiveX on flash sites. She's tried updating to the latest version and defaulting her security levels to no avail. Where can I get the standalone installer from?
