Could anyone be kind enough to help me ? Ive just come back to playing no mans sky, haven't been on the pc for about 2 months. So done all my regular updates and drivers, but when playing i know get like a jitter every now and then. I Never use to get this and the game run perfect, anything else i can do to stop it ?

Ryzen 5 2600x
Asus tuf gaming B450 pro motherboard
16gb DDR4 Corsair vengeance 3000mhz
Palit super jetstream gtx 1070 oc
gigabyte 256gb ssd
2tb seagate barracuda

Played loads before and never had any problems. I've downloaded latest update for nms and latest nvidia drivers. Just not sure why it keeps jittering etc

This might be a long shot, but older NMS versions put shader files into the directory: [NMS Install Dir]\GAMEDATA\SHADERCACHE. This is not the case any more, but if there are any files in that directory, it might help to delete them.

Vsync issue possibly? Or fullscreen not on issue maybe? Could be a app in the background causing it, have you installed anything new that shows a icon near the desktop clock? You using anything causing overlays like discord or afterburner? Xmp for ram in bios not gone off by mistake maybe?

Ive just installed it, started a new game and it was juttery for me too. Was on ultra like so maybe thats it, i changed settings but it said reboot game and i couldnt be bothered to to see if it fixed it dropping it one level down. Ill see next time. It was a bit strange tho as last time i played which was yonks ago when vulkan api for it came out, it ran pretty nice as before with my vega 56 it ran terrible due to i think dx11 but when vulkan came up it ran really well. Maybe its just cos of the new start that caused the jittery bits when i was moving around or firing the thing at some rocks for the first time and the game was still caching the gfx into vram or somit maybe.

a lot of reports on steam forum say they also have performance issues after the latest updates, maybe something broke or the gfx have been upped so either need to lower settings or something now i dunno.

I heard a thing about turning tessalation to standard and maybe volumetrics too, ive done that and saved but i need a restart the game, to see if it worked.

Also i had a shader folder full so i deleted those to see if it helped, it did a bit i think.
