The latest No Mans Sky 'Interceptor' update significantly improves VR peformance.

It is by no means perfect - you still get jitters, pauses and reprojection when content is being generated, but it now provides a far smoother experience than before.
I was able to get a relatively stable 80 fps once I'd been playing the game for a bit and it had cached some assets. Previously it was constantly reprojecting on planets.

Of course it still requires beefy hardware to run it well, but it's now at least now more playable. Well worth trying again if you had issues before.

I'd actually say otherwise myself. My NMS VR performance on the lastest update has been truly horrendous, very close to completely unplayable. Works fine in 2D, but VR its really struggling.

It's a shame, because before it ran great for me, very stable with almost zero reprojected frames or stutters. But now with a 5950X and a 3090 it's down to nearly 30 FPS in bases, and that's when it's not having massive 100+ms stutters every few seconds.

Just started playing this and its great, really easy to pickup and just play - Running Great on the 7900XTX and Quest 2 via Link cable :)

Has sucked me back in as well. Especially now that I'm using an Xbox controller for Flight. Why they can't just enable the joysticks on the VR controls is beyond me.
