No Monitor after Sleep?

Hey guys,

I'm having problems with sleep mode. After resume my monitor does not turn back on. I've got a AMD 6950 and wondered if that was the problem as it's not turning back on after resume? I've got 64bit W7.

Any suggestions?

Are you up to date with your drivers? I believe this was a problem with the older drivers.

Yes, just checked and I'm on 12.10. Is it worth trying a beta driver?

The 12.11 betas are very good drivers. Lots of recommendations for them in the Graphics Card section. Definitely worth a try.

I think this is caused by some displays not reinitializing the hdmi ports. I think changing inputs on the monitor might fix it or taking the hdmi cable out and putting it back in.

I'll try changing the port, but for my main monitor I use DVI and only HDMI for my TV.
