can;t see how a thread can be "official" unless its been sanctioned and approved by the governing board of the product that is discussed.

e.g: "the official am2 black edition cpu's" - a thread like that can;t be official unless AMD is contacted for thier 'blessings'.

I dont usually bother entering "Official" threads, the few I have looked at just seem like a chore to read.
