Yeah it was but I suppose there's plenty of stuff they could add, especially if they want to breathe some life back into the dying multiplayer. It's just a rumour anyway, I read it over at Crymod one day.

Either way, they said in that interview that they would be giving us more information soon.

At this time, there almost certainly will not be a patch 1.3 delivered for Crysis. We are aware that this news will disappoint many of you, and we would like to apologize profusely. There is a good reason for this and we hope you understand when you hear more about the reasons why in the very, very near future. Please realize this was an extremely difficult decision, but please do know that we are listening to your comments and are making more consistent community support a high priority.

I've bolded the bits that lead me to believe they may be announcing said rumoured expansion.

Lame&shame on you Crytek & EA.

So the 8800's will never ever run the thing maxed fine like somehow was assumed before it was out or proper quad core support?

Why do you need quad core support when the game doesn't tax a dual core? You could make it use 50 cores and the bottleneck would still be the video card. The CPU is twiddling it's thumbs when playing crysis.

Hehe, the funny thing is that Crysis does use quad-core and I have demonstrated this. But, as you said, it's simply not CPU-intensive enough that quad-core CPUs make a bit of difference. :)
 
They moan about not enough people buying the game although they go and do this?

I thought this game would have been selling well for the next few years as people upgraded their systems to play it to its potential... may not happen now - LOL
 
Anyhow a few here inc myself actually read all the Interviews and know whats was said and what was made up by others who seem to think they read them.

Game over anyhow, this and the fact a few weeks ago about Piracy makes me think that this 1 big boob job has made the CEO decide not to support PC's.

Good ridance IMO and he was a blatent liar.


P.S anyone remember the CPU dependance then Memory and then GPU (in that order)

And run at 1280's Very High on a 8800GTS (unsure if 320 or 640) and need faster hardware to play at 1600's Very High (would 8800GTX/Ultra be classed as faster hardware) ?.

I posted the URL's of every interview that he quoted specs and perfomance till I was blue in the face but some still thought they knew how the game was made to run better than the CEO claims.

So either it all went wrong or he simply lied but I did not fabricate the interviews I linked to.

Oddly, all I've ever seen you say is "Google it" and "learn to search". But, whatever, we've done this so many times and I really don't feel like getting into it again at half three in the morning, especially considering how you will only repeat your same old routine. I've said my piece so I will leave you to pleasure yourself furiously over a simple patching announcement that we haven't even heard the end of.

Meh, dunno if anyone really cares, crysis was like a remade farcry with the addition of a nano suit. Graphically its nice but the game had way too much hype coming upto release, and lets face it those "dx9 and 10" jungle fight vids didn't help matters..without modding the hell out of the game it doesn't look like those vids at all.
 
ive never seen Crysis as anything more than a benchmarking tool. As a game, its absolutely terrible.
