No Network Connection?

My network connection has been working fine till today when I removed my graphics card to replace the cooler and inserted the card back in however I don't have network connection and my Local Area Connection has disappeared in Control Panel as well as there's no light behind the Ethernet port on my motherboard?

My first step would be to check the BIOS and ensure it's enabled. Then reinstall the driver.

Onboard LAN Controller is enabled in BIOS and I've reinstalled the driver but it's the same

I plugged the Ethernet cable into my laptop and it's working fine so I assume the Ethernet port on the motherboard is dead?

tried reflashing the bios again? then once flashed load optimised defaults in the bios and enter any bios/oc settings

Looks that way. Luckily a PCI replacement shouldn't cost a lot.

Maybe boot a Linux live CD and see if it is shows up there, would rule out it just being a windows issue

Which Linux live CD should I use and will it have all the drivers in it?
