Waited until Uni to buy a macbook but it seems they havent updated it? is there any plans? if not im gonna go ahead and buy one!

If you buy one now from an Apple store and a new one is released within two weeks then they will swop it for you for the newer version, or thats what ones of the staff at Meadowhall Apple said anyway.

If thats what they'd do they might as well just tell the potential buyer to wait.

They can and do. Usually along the lines of 'something is rumoured for xx date, we've not been told what it is but it might be worth waiting'.
