No notifications from Facebook

Is it a android problem or Facebook problem? I have push notifications on in Facebook, i have everything on in my phone. i have a Samsung A52S 5g. I do get messages straight away from messenger.

It's seems to happen when the phone is in deep sleep.

Thanks will check it out, I think i have probably tried most things. It's definitely when the phone or app goes into deep sleep, after two hours not touching my phone i still get notifications but over night is when i stop getting them it's only until i touch my phone in the morning i get all the notifications from Facebook.

So the only way to get notifications is to disable Doze using a command prompt by turning on ADB debugging on the phone.

Download ADB here: https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools 40
Turn on Android Developer Options and enable ADB debugging: https://developer.android.com/studio/debug/dev-options 21
Navigate to the platform-tools folder and open a command prompt (this is where ADB is).
Run the following commands:

adb devices
adb shell dumpsys deviceidle disable

Did you try setting the app's battery optimisation setting to "Don't optimize" (Settings > Battery > Battery optimization > All Apps)?
Usually doing that helps with preventing an apps background process(es) from being killed.

I know I'm considering moving away from android if this doesn't get fixed.

Yes it works for most apps but with Facebook it just doesn't work.

Well, Google claims they're finally clamping down on OEMs with aggressive management: https://www.androidpolice.com/google-cts-d-app-killing/

But the new CTS-D tests seems to be an extension and not enforced. Hopefully in future it will be required but I would rather sooner than later, it's the biggest reason why I went back to Pixel.
