I am using the latest Ubuntu with a Nvidia graphics card. I have installed the nvidia drivers ( a few times! ) but when I boot up the machine I get an error about no suitable graphics drivers. I then get the option to reconfigure X or drop to login etc. If I go to the login prompt and then type startx, it works fine! Any ideas?

Dragons are the problem.

In all honesty, read the Xlogs in /var/log/ to find out what is going on.
