I have been quite happily running Vista 64 on my raid 0 set up and today I turned on my machine ot be greeted with a blank page after the post with a message simply saying .

No operating system detected

I have checked all my connections and all seems fine .. any ideas cheers .

Yea sounds like a HDD is going wrong. Can you test each hard drive in a different computer and run a few diagnostics on it.

Also check the PC isn't trying to boot from something else, like a USB hard drive, flash card reader etc.. Check the boot order in the BIOS or use the boot menu of your mobo supports it to force boot from the RAID array.

I can check it on another machine but excuse my ignoarnce here , would it jut be a case of plugging in the hard drive voa the sata cable , going to my computer ans seeing what on it ?

Would the set up of the raid 0 not cause an issue for reading it ?

To check it on another machine you would need to use both hard-drives and the same RAID controller (due to the drivers of the RAID card) otherwise this will cause you issues.

I've had similar problems before and if you check your RAID setup and that looks fine simply inserting the Windows Vista DVD and then when you get chance hitting repair normally fixes it (bootblock problems).

You may want to check that out first.
