No option for 144hz.

Hi All.
I have 3 monitors hooked up to my pc.
One asus via hdmi
2x aoc 144hz monitors via mdp>dp.
Only one of the aoc monitors is giving me the option of 144hz on amd catalyst control center and also windows control panel.
any idea?

What gfx card?

What options is the other one giving? Anything above 60Hz or 60Hz max?

Using a 7970 GPU
switched on aoc monitor to dvi-d and that is now 144hz. the other 144hz i am using mdp>dvi-d and that is still 60z and no option to change. strange this

Are you absolutely certain it is DVI-D and not DVI-I?

(Single link won't have the bandwidth for 144Hz).

both dvi-d, 24 pins and 1 flat blade

don't you have to be careful with what ports you use on the AMD cards as some of them share bandwidth?
For some, when using DP you end up needing an active adapter?

I had assumed they had gone past that by the 7XXX series cards, might be mistaken though...
