So I'm running a 3930k at stock, an Asus X79 Sabertooth mobo and Samsung Green 16GB (4x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C11 1600MHz 30nm Dual Channel Kit and I've no option to set xmp on the AI overclock tuner. I just get the manual and auto options. Any idea's what's going on?

It's definitely not there, though I know it should be. I only have the options for auto and manual.

I've ran Windows memory diagnostic as suggested by a quick google search and it's come back no errors, I'm stumped!

Okay Samsung green apparantly has no xmp profile.... now what?

I really don't get this stuff!

Is there any ram you'd recommend in particular that's compatible with my board?

Can I still overclock without an xmp profile?

xmp is not needed to overclock. xmp is to overclock the RAM i.e make the motherboard use RAM that is a higher rated speed than the mobo is designed for. When you look at motherboards you will often see the RAM speeds it can take and next to some of those speeds it will say (OC) that means it will use that speed if you overclock the RAM i.e XMP
