I'm trying to do a completely fresh reinstall of windows so I can install directly to an SSD. Never done anything so dramatic before so be gentle 
I've formatted the SSD ready to go, but when I boot from the windows dvd so I can format the HDD I get the windows background and a cursor but nothing else at all.
I should note that I'm installing Windows via a Vista OEM install disc if that makes any difference.
