No output when rebooting

I appear to have a strange issue on my newest build...

I am running a r9 280x and when booting up it runs absolutely fine, games work fine and there is no issues with it any time. However, if I ever restart my pc, I get absolutely no video output of any form, my monitor detects nothing and goes into sleep mode.

Now, google seems to give no results as to waht may cause this (either that or my google-fu is severely lacking) so I must ask for help! Any ideas?

For reference, my system is:
Intel i3 4150
MSI H81I Mobo
Powercolor R9 280X gpu
Silverstone Strider 450w Gold

This is on a fresh install of Windows 7, and the issue also occured with Win8, so in my mind that surely must rule out driver issues?

Have you another input from your card? Perhaps a lead to your TV?

If you do unplug that lead and it should work, I get this occasionally!

Nope, just a mini-dp to dp on my monitor

Out of interest does the picture come back if you switch the monitor off then back on again?

Running the beta driver ?
