Just wondering if anyone can steer me towards the most likely culprit.

I no longer recive a video output from my graphics card.
The mothetboard hdmi outputs a signal.
The graphic card fans don't spin up but the card gets warm.
The only other card I have is an old gtx680.
The fans on this spin up but still no output.
Nither of the cards show up in windows or gpu-z

I've unfortunately no extra parts to test so I'm just wondering is it most likely the graphics card that's faulty or board.

Have you tried another PCI-E slot on the motherboard?

Could you list your full PC specs please?

Have you tried a different HDMI\DP port on the gpu?

It's sounding like the motherboards PCI-E slot has failed if you have tried another GPU in the system and it's doing the same thing

This is what I'll be trying tomorrow.
The mother board only has two pci-e slots and the other one sits too close to the case for the graphic card to fit in, so I'll take the motherboard out and give it a try.

If it was the pci-e slot.
How much slower would the other slot be?

Its a TUF GAMING B560M-PLUS WIFI motherboard
If this is your motherboard

The top PCIE slot is PCI-E 4.0 x 16
The second one is PCI_E 3.0 x 16 max x 4

PCI_E.webp

If it works at least we know the slot is the issue and should get the system up and running.

What is the GPU that was in the system before trying the GTX680?

You basically won't notice any difference.

But as already stated I wouldn't worry about that for now just fault find.

Ive had a pcie slot on a motherboard fail before.

Double check the GPU is definetly seated properly. Also check power connections to it, make sure they are all seated properly both ends if it is a modular one.
