I'd been getting some black lines with my 5770, so I decided to flash to the latest BIOS.

It's a PowerColor 5770 PCS+ and here is the BIOS I flashed to.

I used WinFlash, which said the new BIOS had been applied successfuly and asked me to reboot. Upon rebooting, and ever since, I don't get an image. The PC sounds like it's booting fine, but I can't see anything.

I've checked the cables and connections. Done a CMOS reset. And I've tried another PCI slot.

My mobo doesn't have onboard and I don't have a backup GPU.

I'm guessing I'm going to need some kind of DOS/boot utility from a pen drive?

Appreciate any help.

im no expert but have you tried resetting your cmos by taking the battery out for 10 - 15 mins

sound like its bodged up half way through updating

OK I managed to sort it.

Strangely, after updating to the new BIOS, the PCI-E power adapter off the PSU stopped working. I swapped it for a different 6-pin and it works, no matter what the BIOS. But when I plug in the original plug it doesn't show a display.

Maybe my PSU is on the way out.
