I did a build using the ga ab350 gaming 3 mob and have sort of finished the build , I'm waiting on a gpu gx1070ti and a hdd, so I went a head and switched it on without the gpu and everything seems to be working lights , fans , I used the HDMI cable but i am not getting a picture so I am hoping it is something to do with not having the gpu installed,
no picture help?

it is, unfortunately.
ryzen has no inbuilt gpu, so you *have* to have a discrete gpu.
