Hi All

I have a problem with the playback on my old Sony DVP-S735D.

While watching Ghost in the Shell 2 last night the picture started to jump and stall as if there was a mark or something on the disc. I managed to get it playing smoothly again after scanning forward through the chapter.
About hour a hour later it started to jump again so I removed the disc and gave it a clean, but I noticed a tiny drop moisture on the disc. I reinserted the disc and tried to get it play, but with no joy. No playback at all :( . The machine just made some funny noises and kept on telling me to insert the disc  .
Any ideas how I can get the player working again ???

No Kids or beer been near it :D
I'm going to try a lens cleaner and see if that helps.
I dont want to have to buy a new player with Blu-ray around the corner.

Have you moved the player from a cold place to a warmer one?

A decent DVD player is <£100 now, even under £50. When "blu-ray" does come out I imagine the players will be in excess of £500 to begin with, remember, they also record.

EDIT - Toshiba SD260e is only £40! Bargain!
