No Portal 2 thread?

should be ok on the ps3, i was playing it earlier (SP)

i tried again and it worked hope the error to play the game before was something to do with psn hopefully . playing sp and enjoying it so far one question though would i have got achivements linked to trophies if it was connected to my steam profile through psn ?

Was expecting this to look and run awfully on PS3, but they did a pretty decent job.

Being unable to access PSN can not start downloading PC version, but happy to play the PS3 version as it is :)

yeah, looks like you would have

A few months back, Valve announced some initial details of Steam’s debut in the PS3 version of Portal 2. While people were excited to hear about the PS3 game’s inclusion of Steam access to Portal 2 on any PC or Mac, they also had a bunch of questions.
So, here’s a bit more info about Steam on the PS3.

Portal 2 for PlayStation 3 is the first title to support Steam on a console. Specifically, that means it offers cross-platform matchmaking, gameplay, friends, chat, and achievements, all powered by Steam. Steam on the PS3 also saves co-op game progress and single player saved games to the Steam Cloud, enabling players to pick up where they left off on any PlayStation 3.
Steam makes its appearance on the PS3 as an overlay within Portal 2. Here, the Steam overlay provides access to Steam Friends, displaying their in-game or online status and providing a quick pathway to text chats, player profiles, friend requests, and game invites. Steam Achievements are earned in lockstep with PSN Trophies and are also accessible within the Steam overlay.
Steam on the PS3 provides access to all of these features once the player has linked their PlayStation Network account with a Steam account, which is done right within the game. A Steam user can login to an existing account, and anyone new to Steam can create an account with the click of a button.
With all these features, Portal 2 on the PS3 is the best console version of the game, just as it was suggested it would be back at E3 last year. If you’re still hungry for more details, head over to steampowered.com and learn more about Portal 2 for PS3.

i agree, just had a quick blast and it looks great on the ps3. Ok the frame rate isnt amazing but graphics are pretty sharp, and still fun to play :)

Can't say I have any complaints about frame rate.

Dont' know what the frame rate is (probably 30) but at least it's smooth with no drops - that's all I ask :)

No complaints too, i guess you can tell the difference between pc and ps3, but doesnt bother me in the slightest.

Loving this, Merchant is brilliant.

I hate it when people create threads asking if there is an official thread, then we get a huge thread discussing the game called....No Portal 2 thread? :D

it makes quite a change from all the ******** in the thread description don't you think :D

The graphics are very tidy i expected loads of jaggies and bad shadows but it surprised me to say the least , much better than the orange box due to this being done in house instead of with EA :)
just ashame psn is not up so i can redeem my code for pc version :(

What's amazed me is that the Source engine is quite ancient now (although they have tweaked it) but the art style and amazing attention to detail makes this game look brilliant imo.

Been playing the multiplayer with a friend since I received it.

Pretty bloody good!

Has anyone else noticed the laggy loading screens? They would be really cool if it was smooth but the lag just ruins it, might as well not be there at all!

Completed the co-op earlier with my son. Love the way GLaDOS plays mind games with you. Quality game and I haven't touched the SP yet.

Can you get the Dev Commentary on the Console versions? If so i'd recommend playing it with those enabled after youve finished the story off. Pretty interesting stuff if you're into the tech/design side of things!
