Hi there

I'll start at the beginning. I have recently been having issues with my swiftech h220, weird pump noises. Hoped it would be just air bubbles, took it off and on multiple times, shaked, replaced the coolant etc. Throughout this process I ran my pc without any heatsink on the cpu(i5-760) for periods of maybe 5 seconds each a few times. After multiple hours I gave up and decided to send it back since it's still on a warranty. I reinstalled the h220 so I could request a return online (issue with the pump did not impact temperatures), while doing that, I took off the gpu to connect an extra sata cable to my 3rd hdd, that I have not been using simply cause I did not have enough cables lol (extra cable arrived recently). After doing all of that I boot and everything works fine, I even played a game for an hour. Eventually I wanted to get the h220 ready for return, uninstalled it, put the no-name air heatsink on that I haven't used for almost 2 years boot and boom, no post. PC turns on for between 5-7 seconds, all fans spinning including the cpu fan but it then shuts down and repeats the process. Took heatsink off, cleaned the cpu from any thermal paste, made sure there is no compound on the motherboard or anywhere it should not be, try again, boot it, same issue. Tried putting h220 back on, same issue. Did not touch the rams or anything else, except the gpu and plugging in an extra sata cable but pc booted afterwards, I am really lost. GPU lights (evga gtx 770 classified 4gb) come on for the same duration, fans spin as I said. As far as I can tell my motherboard (P7H55-M SI) does not have the required pins for the system speaker, can anyone confirm that? Also, is there any way around that, installing an external one even though the mobo doesnt support it? Sorry about the chaotic block of text and if you got this far, thanks for your time!

Motherboard: P7H55-M SI
CPU : i5-760
GPU: EVGA 770 Classified 4GB
PSU: Corsair AX850

Thanks in advance.

I would remove everything unnecessary, So just the bare essentials (Mobo+cpu+heatsink+1stick of ram+gpu+psu) reseat all the connections and check for grounding issues.
It sounds like a motherboard issue to me, or a short of some kind.

Your mobo should have a 2-pin speaker connection down by the front panel connectors(Where your power button plugs in), it'll be shown on the masking where you should put it in. That might give you post beeps.

I've had two systems come to me recently that wouldn't post, all fans spun for about 5 seconds, then it cut out and tried again with the same result. First system was a Sandybridge Celeron, second a first gen i5. In both cases, removing and reseating the RAM fixed it. Neither system had the RAM moved or touched before I fiddled, so no idea why it worked, but might be worth a quick try.

If that doesn't help, then Datass has the right plan to strip down to minimum parts and build up from there until you hit the point it won't post.

Got out of bed this morning thinking I will have to spend another day trying to fix this. Reseating the RAM worked like a charm!! It seems the more I work with computers the less I understand. Thanks a lot for the idea!

I think PCs just sometimes need some attention and have a fit if they haven't had any for a while! :D

Glad your PC is back up and running, and thanks for posting back, always nice to know when people resolve their issues.
