Hello,

Firstly my specs

Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 6950 TOXIC 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - Retail
Crucial RealSSD M4 128GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive
Asus P8Z68-V Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard
Corsair XMS3 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMX8GX3M2A1600C9)
Asus Xonar DGX 5.1 PCI-Express Sound Card with built in Headphone Amp
XFX P1-750S-NLB9 PRO750W Core Edition Power Supply
Corsair CAFA70 Cooling Air Series A70 High-Performance Dual Fan CPU Cooler

So I was playing away on Skyrim last night. Finished up shut down normally and went to bed. No drama. I came home tonight hit the power button and the LED's come on and fans spin up for a literal second or two and then it dies. No post, nothing on screen.

Power is coming from the cable and does power other devices. Unfortunately I don't have another system here to swap parts about and test. I had a clear out before moving here and am left with a couple laptops which I can't do much testing wise with.

What do you reckon?

start unplugging stuff
this happened to me recently with a pc i was using it turned out to be bad keyboard which was super weird
chances are its not the same thing but start unplugging stuff n check for anything that culd b shorting inside

Doesn't that mobo have red LEDs flashing when it boots? I'd say try track them as it powers on, could help diagnose the issue. Unplug everything you can too, last time I experienced this it was due to a faulty RAM stick.

have you popped out the motherboard battery and fully cleared the cmos?? leave the battery out for 30mins and then pop back in and try,it will reset you bios/oc settings so re enter them in the bios

Ok so cleared Cmos but got the same issue.

Bread boarded it but got the same issue. Then we removed CPU cooler and CPU and reinstalled and boom it successfully complete the POST.

Weird one. Build it back up again with all components and did a stress test and all is hunky dory.

Going to keep an eye on it though!
