Hi guys,

Dont know if im posting in the right area here, but heres the issue.

When i load my machine it boots and then reboots about 3 seconds later, the reboot then shows post and the machine loads up fine no problems.

After a very silly cold night, i.e. -5 outside and i leave my window open all night. I wake up to a freezing cold room, but also a computer which turns on and CPU fan doesnt go at all.

Also the boot then reboot sequence dissapeared and now it just hangs there, no POST displayed on screen and screen is staying in standby.

I tore out the GPU (8800GTS 640Mb Ed) and the Soundcard (X-Fi Xtre Music) and reset the CMOS jumper.

This enabled me to boot the machine with the 3 second reboot and the cpu fan was running fine. BUT Still no POST? Screen still in standby.

I have tried switching power switch off at the PSU (OCZ Stealth X Stream 600W) and leaving it for about 10 mins then switching back on, but still no joy.

Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Abit IP35 P35 Motherbord
Intel Q6600 2.4Ghz CPU (Non-OC - Stock cooler)
8800GTS 640Mb Edition
2Gb of Corsair DDR2 PC6400C4
OCZ StealthXStream 600W PSU

DIsplay is a Dell 2407WFP

Also note, the machine has been running fine since its build in august with many stress tests.

Thanks
-J

EDIT : After letting it hang unposted for about 20 mins there, i pressed the reset button and away it went with CMOS defaults loaded.
Sods law, must have been too cold for her, is that possible? or could it have been some sort of condensation?

I have a similar issue, apparently there is a cold issue with the boards. If you find a solution please let me know so I can fix it, I'll let you know as well if I find the answer.

I do know that u need to be on bios 14 to get around the double boot issue.

ah right, fantastic thanks. ill let you know, but i just kept it running for a bit and now it loads.

Im still on the original bios so its one of the first things im gonna do.

Im also having an issue with USB peripheral devices being plugged into USB hubs when booting windows it doesnt boot. But when they are plugged into the motherboard it boots fine. Hopefully BIOS update will sort this.
