Hi,

A few days ago I woke and as per usual turned my computer on. However, no power at all came through. Monitor didn't turn on, fan didn't spin, LED on the switch button didn't light.

I have since bought a new Power Supply which I fitted today, but still no power.

Specs are below:

* Motherboard: MSI-7255
* Processor: Intel Pentium 4 3.06GHZ
* Memory: 1GB DDR2
* HDD: 250GB SATA
* Optical Drive: DVDRW
* GPU: nVidia 7900GS
* Windows XP Media Centre

Any help appreciated.
Regards.

Any chance connection in the pc case has come loose? maybe its just as simple as the button on the front of ** pc at fault

I've just opened the front of the case and it all seems fine around the switch.

Is there any other way to start the computer other than the switch at the front?

Ok. I now have power after switching the black and green wired plug (not sure what they are called) on the motherboard.

Alas, I only get power if I take out the CPU Power plug. It won't power up with it plugged in and if I plug it in after switching on, it goes dead.

I've taken the CPU out and still the same. :(

Any ideas?
