No Power to Mouse

Just made a spare computer up , but i have a problem the mouse does not work and the keyboard is abit hit and miss. Ive tried using the USB ports and a usb to ps2 convertor but no joy, ive also trid using a diffrent mouse. also im not sure if the computer is freezing after a minute are so as they keyboard stops working and computer doesnt seem to do anything.

Think ive sorted it now, was the stupid pci newtork card freezing the comp up, now i remember why i took it out my comp and used onbaord lan as it used to freeze up my comp, strange one thought, as soon as i took it out windows started to install stuff and the mouse flicked on been fine after that.
