No power up, lights flashing...

After a week of delays and problems, I finally received my new system on Friday. The first good system I've had in a long time. I got to play with it mostly on Saturday and it was working (for the most part, only one weird crash and a weird buzzing sound, but that's all, and the buzzing stopped).

This morning I switched on the machine, it began booting for a split second and then shut off. Since then, it will not power on, much less boot.

Now anytime I plug the thing in and switch on the power (at the back) there are two lights that flash on the motherboard. There are two silver buttons, one has a red flashing power symbol, the other flashes green 'reset'. They flash together, but slightly out of sync.

When I push the power button at the front to start the machine, nothing happens.

No where on the internet nor in the manual for the motherboard does it tell me what this means. All i know is, it's broken :(

I would appreciate any help anyone can offer, although I have a feeling the end result is that it will have to go back to be repaired, it's not even three days old :"(

Thank you

Edit: This is my system http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-174-OE although the power supply is upgraded to 1000W, I got the SLi option, and the overclocking doesn't work, in case that is relevant.

Ok, thank you very much, I guess I will have to do that tomorrow :(

I didn't try the customer services part of the forum as it was completely empty, so I thought I'd have better luck here.

its empty because you can only see threads that you started, its probably actually packed in there, but is private between forum user and shop staff.

buzzing sound as in an error beep ... or just a buzz? if it was a buzz ..... may be the psu ..blown ?? cos only the coil in the psu can make a buzz if its been sucked dry of power :)

It was a buzzing, not an error beep. And once it stopped the machine worked fine, and was working while the buzzing was happening, it was just something I thought worth mentioning, just in case. I wasn't gaming or anything at the time, i was downloading from Steam and flicking through Youtube... not particularly power hungry tasks, but maybe that doesn't really make a difference.

It doesn't buzz anymore, and only lasted for a minute maybe, not even that, when it was buzzing, the only sound it makes now is after I cut the power and it slowly drains out, the very last 'flash' of the lights makes a click sound, but I doubt that means anything.

I submitted a webnote so hopefully someone will respond tomorrow, thank you for your input here peoples, I appreciate it:) I had a small hope that someone would say.. press this button or do that, and all would be well again :p

Sounds rather like a blown PSU.

If you are lucky it just needs a replacement, if unlucky it will have taken other bits with it on its way out. Either way it needs sending back.

Hopefully it took nothing else with it, but as I've only used it a day and a half, there isn't much on the drives to lose (assuming they were damaged), still sucks though :(
