Hi all,

My PC ain't powering up. I'm all plugged in and ready to go, taking the side off the case reveals the motherboard still has its green LED lit, but when I press the power button on my case bugger all happens. Nothing, not a beep, not a whir or anything.

Obviously my PSU is still giving power to the M'board because the LEDs are still on. I've tried unplugging everything and trying again but it makes no odds. What could be the problem here?

Even though the led on the mobo is on it doesn't mean the psu is still working, i had the exact same problem with my friends computer, mobo led light was on, but no start up. I tried my psu in his comp and it starts up so we concluded that it was his psu. Hope this helps.

Is the power button plugged into the motherboard in the right location? Does the power button actually have a cable?

Yeah the cables are all in place. This has literally happened overnight. No problems last night and then BAM no power. I have a feeling it may be the PSU as mentioned above ^^.

See if you can get one and test it before you order one, it may not be the PSU although it looks more than likely that it is.
