No printer port on mobo!

Hey all

Notived the other day that there's no printer port on my Asus p5w dh deluxe mobo. THere's usb of course which I guess connects most modern printers. Sadly for me though, the cable supplied with my printer connects to a parallel port. Is the best way to get the printer working simply to buy a new cable or what? Maybe I'm just being a muppet, but any help or advice would be awesome. Thanks in advance.

Oh, and the printer in question is a Canon i865.

Does the printer itself have USB?
If not might be tricky as USB and Parallel are very different and I don't think just a cable would do.

You could buy a USB to parallel converter but it will probably be more expensive than just getting a USB A-B cable (£3-4).

According to Canon website its Par/Port and usb so all you need is a usb cable

a USB to Parallel port cable will do the trick..

used it before and it works like a charm...
