i have got no idea why its doing this, but no programs will stay open on my Vista 32-bit PC.
there is the odd program such as audacity which will stay running and function fully, but programs such as internet explorer, windows mail, all IM programs stop responding as soon as they launch.
other things which ive had messages for include 'Windows Search Indexer stopped working and was closed', and also 'Host Process for windows services'.
im currently doing a virus & spyware scan.
i havent updated any drivers or anything new via windows update
edit : now windows explorer wont respond either
anybody got any ideas why its just suddenly started doing this?
is this likely to be a software problem, or could it be something like the system RAM?
