• Competitor rules

Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.

No Reverse Hypertrasport

Its not easily possible because the amount of power needed to split and recombine the code to X amount of cores would probably cancel out any gain from making a X core processor appear to be single core processor. Its highly inefficent IIRC.

I'd rather have a 8 core processor than a quad core one that can be used as a single core.

The irony of this is, of course, that it was the inquirer that spread this rumour in the first place....

I thought it was a french website that started it. The Inquirer simply translated the page and coined the translated term "anti-Hyperthreading".

The Inquirer seldom is the source, it normally just uses other sources. Their sources have been known to include some dodgy bloke from computer exchange as well as a salesman from comet....

The Inquirer seem like a complete bunch of nabs.

Pretty much everything they say ends up being wrong, and they must know that everyone thinks they are pants, so why do they even bother

EDIT : Plus anybody who says FANBOIS makes me cringe. Its FANBOY IMO :p
