No service Iphone 6 Plus

Just got my new handset to replace my S4. I ordered it online. Anyway, I've inserted the nano sim and have followed the instructions. I've got wifi and all that jazz I just have no service. I can't work out why, or how to sort it. Any ideas?

Are you holding it correctly? Common fault with iPhones.

Is the SIM also new? It may not be activated.

I actually spoke to the O2 instant chat folk. That's a really good service there. Anyway, all sorted, it wasn't activated. Thanks!
