No shadows on my char in Skyrim?

This is really bothering me, I am running Ultra settings with the HD texture pack (official). No mods atm because I want to play normal for a bit first so I can see the difference. I had enb and a few others installed previously but re-installed Skyrim because they didn't appear to be working. Is this normal for my char to cast no shadow? He is not a vampire. :D

Relevant rig details: 6950, Windows 7 64bit, Cat 13.2 beta

Things I've tried: Turning off AA, official cats, reinstalling Skyrim

edit: This also happens with NPCs.
