Right well iv just put together my new pc, but when i connect the monitor to the graphics card i get no signal at all.
Here are my system specs:
Mobo: EVGA nForce 680 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quadro Extreme Edition QX6700 "LGA775 Kentsfield" 2.66GHz (1066FSB) - Retail
RAM: Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2 Dominator PC2-8500C5 TwinX (2x1GB) 4GB Total
HDD: Western Digital Raptor X 150GB WD1500AHFD 10,000RPM SATA 16MB Cache - OEM (2 HDD's)
GFX Card: Dual BFG GeForce 8800 GTX OC 768MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail
PSU: Tagan TG900-U95 900W ATX2.01 Turbojet Quad SLi Silent PSU

I am cooling the CPU with a Titan Vanessa Heatsink, using Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound.

When the pc is on, my mobo displays the digits : 1d
When the memory is removed, the pc makes a long beep. then Repeats itself.

Anyone have any ideas to what is going on?

could be a faulty graphics card...have you tried using a diff gfx card?

video signals are generally related to gfx cards...

Make sure all the power connectors are connected, it is easy to forget the 4/8pin aux for the CPU or the graphics cards external power.

Have you tried a different monitor?

And unplugging all non-essentials? Leaving only graphics, memory and processor.

Does the 4 and the 8 pin connectors have to be plugged in?

I have the 8pin connected already and the GFX cards power connectors are plugged in.

Where exactly does the 4 pin PSU connector cable plug into? Iv got the 8pin plugged in next to the cpu. I cant see where to plug the 4pin in though.

Could someone post a pic of where exactly i connect it?

Also, i dont get any beeps when i turn the comp on

Any ideas?

Read the MB manual back to front, i had ther same problem last week and it was because i hadnt plugged in the cpu power plug on the MB, didnt realise until i scanned the manual. :)

Iv taken eveything out of the case, and just plugged in my psu to the mobo with ram in. No beeps still

Iv also tried with two GTX 8800's neither of them are getting a signal :(

Looks to me like a possible Mobo problem. I had an issue with no signal a while back.

Changed the GFX card to an MX400 and worked fine, but as you say you have tried two other GFX cards thats all i can think of.

As a quick note, do all the fans spin up?

They are the same, the 4 pin "P4" +12v and 8 pin EPS +12v are both used for CPUs, some boards only have the 4 pin some let you use a 4 pin in an 8 pin socket and some say that you must use the 8 pin.

Not to be confused with those boards that have a 4 pin molex that is for additional stability (usually for SLI/Crossfire boards and placed near the PCI-E 16X slots).
