Hi guys,

Basically my friend put his phone cable into a USB slot on his motherboard (The non USB part of the cable), from then on he just got the message "No Signal" on his monitor. The other problem is the computer won't turn off via the power button once he tries to reset it.

Oh and he has just bought a new motherboard from OCUK because the computer shop he took it to said that the mobo had blown. :(

I've told him to take out one stick of memory and try it but it doesn't work, just the same problem.

Cheers for any suggestions ;)

Still no boot.

Just 1 stick of ram
HDD's
Mobo
Cpu
PSU

and we know it's not the mobo as it's brand new :(

I think it's going to be a PSU issue considering it won't even turn off once it's turned on, but I'll tell him to try that.

Cheers

Same problem apparently.

Do OCUK do repairs? I think he might just come and drop it down if they do, this other computer shop is having a laugh. They told him that it was definitely the motherboard and now they say "Ah yes, I remember, we didn't have a socket 775 motherboard to test it on, but it's normally 99.9% the motherboard."

Argh
