hello! for the fast few months ive been recieving "no signal" errors when i attempt to turn my pc on, all the fans are spinning and no problems there but then i cant get anything to come on the screen and keep getting no signal but after a while it does come on.. im assuming its some sort of faulty wiring either psu or mobo anyone wanna shed any light or past experiences for me :)

Spec
asus pw5 deluxe wifi
akasa 400w psu
1gb geil pc6400 ddr2 ram
160gb hitachi hdd
bfg 7950GT

Ooops... also i had this problem with my old pc and the only surviving part is the psu... and apart from that everything is new

i think so.. can anyone link me to them? i used to have the same problem with my x800 tho so im not sure wether im just unlucky and managed to get the same problem again

Unlikely that both your cards are experiencing the same problem. My guess would be that the monitor needs looking at (no pun intended). Outdated drivers (or none at all) would still give a display, only it'd be slow and choppy.

no, i have had problems with random screen freezing and turning off because of drivers.....probably shoddy card too like lol

it just sits there with the fans spinng.. the fans keep spinning on psu and mobo but nothing will come on the monitor

tbh i would question the gfx card more than anything....have you got the lastest drivers?

How are drivers going to affect the motherboard during POST? Drivers don't kick in until the OS loads so it can't be that. I had this exact same problem a while ago and a motherboard BIOS update fixed it :)
