Hi Guys,

As of yesterday my iP4 has started given the No SIM message on my phone randomly and Im wondering if others have had it and how they fixed it?

Its a SIM-free phone so its totally unlocked with a microSIM provided by TMobile - I bought it the day the iP4 came out so I guess its just gone out of warranty.

To fix it yesterday, I just airplaned it off and on and it picked up the network - this morning though the same happened and its only when I took out the SIM and rebooted the phone that it eventually picked up network. It first gave 'No Network' message when I just tried to airplane it or remove/reenter the SIM without boot.

Im not sure what to do but Im guessing this involves a trip to Apple MK? Is there something TMob can do before I do that? Because its a microSIM I cant even stick it in a spare phone so need to get this sorted sooner rather than later.

TIA

My sim stopped working, showed the same error message.

A trip to O2 for a replacement soon solved that.
Stupid question - replacement SIM or replacement iPhone? Assume the former...

Doing some googling it either appears its a tray issue than allows the SIM to go loose or th tray itself contacts the SIM and shorts it :(. Dont really wanna waste going to MK if theres a good chance Ill be told to go to the network provider...

Cheers guys - just spoke to them and theyve told me to pop to a TMobile store and pick up a SIM and theyll just refund the charge back to my account - very quick and painless!

Ill get that done tomorrow
