No sound but drivers fine

Hi all,

Has anyone ever had experience of a PC's drivers seeming fine, but no sound coming out. I have this PC, and with the onboard sound, or a Audigy 2 ZS, the soundcards will install fine, but no sound will come out! Tried different drivers!

USB audio works fine. Tried the audigy in another PC, no problems!

I've tried different OS configurations, it seems it must be something screwy with the mobo and/or bios. Very weird problem i've never experienced before.

has the on onboard sound been disabled in the bios at all ?

No.

BIOS update didn't help.

Well, it seemed the reasons the onboard sound and the audigy didn't work were not related.

The onboard sound is still wierd, but the audigy problem had the simplest solution. Plug the card in properly. Lol.
