Hi folks,

Recently purchased an AOC I2481FXH, i have it connected via HDMI, but i am getting no sound from the monitor at all, all drivers are upto date.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Has Windows set the monitor as the default sound device ? Sometimes it leaves it set to mobo audio. Also, sometimes monitors default to no sound, make sure the monitor isn't muted or just a 0 volume.

Other than that, can you try connecting mobo sound to monitor with a 3.5mm jack - in case the speakers just don't work.

I have it set to the monitor using the panel in the right hand bottom corner. The monitor has a 3.5mm jack which i have my headphones connected to, and sound comes out no problem.

I cant see any buttons on the monitor to control audio either. Lost on this one...

As far as i can tell this screen doesn't have speakers, why AOC don't make this extremely clear in the tech specs(not even a mention of whether it has them), but then also list "speakers" on the product main page for the monitor is a little baffling, but a number of review websites state this monitor does not have built-in speakers.

You're probably better off without it anyway(unless that was one of the purchase reasons), monitor audio is usually pretty bad.

Scroll down to the section "Specifications and possibilities" (near the bottom) on the main page for the product, here.

There is a speaker icon with the word speakers beside it. Pretty sure OP has the answers he needs at this point, but i believe AOC could make this clearer all the same, other brands and online stores manage to state this information more clearly.
