No Sound From Speakers

hello there people...well basically ive got a simple yet annoying problem..i bought a vw polo 1996 couple weeks ago and haven't been able to get any sound from the speakers..the stereo works fine just cant get any sound...ive checked the speaker connections and they seem to be fine..upon research ive seen that it could possibly be a blown fuse??...any help appreciated thanks

Doubt it will be a fuse if the head unit is powering up.

Could be that the radio has gone faulty if the connections to the speakers are fine

If the head unit powers up fine and the connections are ok, then you may have blown the internal amp of the head unit.

Is the polo ISO wiring? You haven't cut into the loom or anything like that? Double check that the head unit is getting 12 volts and that there are no grounded speakers. Did the previous radio work ok in there?

It didnt have a radio when i bought it..i think ill just get local car stereo shop to hook everything up..cheers anyways

Just run some basic diagnostics yourself and save the cash. For a start remove a front speaker and hook a separate wire up directly from the head unit to the speaker.
