no sound in game borderlands the pre sequel

any ideas . there is sound in the intro but soon as the game starts no sound

must be a driver / sound settings issue then (output device, whatever, maybe even just the volume sliders but I assume you checked those).

checked the sound settings in main menus?
checked with out headphones plugged in?
checked sound settings in windows?
updated audio drivers? may also be worth updating video drivers if the audio is passed via hdmi?
any issues with any other games similar to this?

checked everything I know . even swapped sound card and updated with the latest asus drivers . loaded b/lands up wahay no sound in game . this is the only game that does this . any help please .

just to let you guys know I deleted local content and reinstalled . now have sound in game .
